I have adapted a resource pack that I have bought to make this Powerpoint to support Muir’s Horses for CIE IGCSE. The zig zag education pack is full of good ideas!

Also, there are a couple of excellent videos on YouTube for use in this area :
For City planners/Planners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WR-Z1lg2Q_4 The song “ouses, ‘ouses, ‘ouses” by Imagined Village. Use as a listening stimulus prior to working – stop it around 2.19 before it gets loud and allow discussion.
For Where I come from, City Planners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcC54jTnX5I The Chernobyl drone.
Here ar emy ideas for a module based on JAckie Kay’s early poetry. Used as part of an “identities” module in Year 7.
The pack is from a Hodder publication and I have no idea if it is still in print. I will take it down if required to do so!

Videos of Jackie KAy reading her poetry can be found here on the school You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq3LxoT-wZYtY5ccPAckZpQ/videos
Please feel free to browse this resource – it is work in progress and will, no doubt, be adapted!
It should be used in conjunction with the resources placed on the blog a few weeks ago!
Poetry and Classics
5 of the poems are being taught to Year 9 this term. Here is a rather wordy PowerPoint on If, Prayer, Half Past, Piano and Hide and Seek. As usual, these are not definitive and are a mixture of my work together with material from the Edexcel Teachers’ guide. Use as you see fit, or not at all!
