Water in NLMG – starting point!

Discussing water imagery in NLMG led to this rather messy attempt to trace the use of a motif that runs through the text. You should look closely at the text for the figurative uses of water, but I think I have covered many of the ideas here. I am unwilling to link everything together in case we fall into the trap of analysing everything and seeing nothing. There is enough to go on, however if we use this as a springboard…
